Our Primary 5 students actively participated in a cross-curricular lesson that integrated both English and Physical Education. The English lesson focused on the history and traditions of both the ancient and modern Olympic Games. In addition, students had the opportunity to discover interesting facts about some of the most renowned Olympic medalists. They also participated in various athletic events such as tug of war, which was an Olympic event in the past, and relay races where the emphasis was on experiencing the spirit of friendly competition.
The lesson proved to be a fun and engaging way to learn about the Olympics, reinforce vocabulary and grammar from previous English lessons and boost physical abilities.
