This year, our school embraced the spirit of Thanksgiving with a fun and educational celebration that introduced our students to the holiday’s traditions, food, and activities, creating memories for which we are all truly thankful.

Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in the USA and Canada on the fourth Thursday of November. It is a time when people express their gratitude for everything and everyone they have in their lives. During this celebration, they have a big meal with their family and friends to give thanks.
At school, we believe that it’s important to immerse our students in different holidays celebrated in English speaking countries. For this reason, on Thursday, 28th November, we celebrated the tradition with the children by introducing them to some of the food that is included in this feast, along with other traditions that happen during this holiday, like the annual parade.
Each class did activities such as creating their own Thanksgiving dinner and placemat, making a feather headband, expressing what they are thankful for and of course, playing the games “roll a turkey” and “minute-to-win-it”.
We all had a great time, for which we are thankful!
