In a friendly atmosphere of teamwork and competition, Rodion Paidia Primary school and A Gymnasio students took part in the English Department’s annual Spelling Bee.
Held in their classrooms during the English lesson on Monday 2nd March, students participated in word-based puzzles and riddles using written, aural and pictorial clues as well as more traditional dictation exercises. All activities were carefully planned to revise the vocabulary which had been taught for each level.
As part of our department’s commitment to collaboration as a keystone to effective language acquisition and retention, each group was encouraged to cooperate as a team to find the answers for each stage of the Spelling Bee.
Congratulations to everyone who took part!
